China producing 46% of the carrot in the world. Other major countries are Uzbekistan, Russia, the US and Ukraine. Carrots are use in different ways like making salad, sambar, chutney, juice, chips, etc.

Baby carrots were introduce from the 1980s as readymade snacks. The beta carotene present in carrot that why it have bright orange color.
